CHEMICAL NAME: 2-chloro-1-(3-ethoxy-4-nitrophenoxy)-4-(trifluoromethyl-benzene
(CAS).
CAS NO.: 42874-03-3
CLASS: Diphenyl ether.
PROPERTIES: Orange crystalline solid at room temperature. Readily soluble in most organic solvents.
ACTION: Herbicide.
USE: Preemergence and/or postemergence control of certain annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in artichoke, avocado, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower (pretransplant), citrus
(nonbearing), clary sage, coffee, conifers, (seedbed, container, field grown transplants),
corn (witchweed control), cotton (postdirect), cottonwood, fallow bed, feijoa, grapes, guava, horseradish, jojoba, kiwi, macadamia, mayhaw, mint, noncrop, nuts, olives,
onion, papaya, persimmon, taro, and tree fruits (pome, stone).
FORMULATIONS: Emulsifiable concentrate, granules.
SOLUBILITY (IN WATER): Nearly insoluble.
TOXICITY: Tech (Rat): Oral LD50 >5000 mg/kg. (Rabbit): Dermal >l0,000 mg/kg.
TOXICITY CLASS: II
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Keep from freezing. Store above 32¡ãF.
